The last Sagittarius new moon came to help you to envision the year ahead and anchor in supportive new beliefs. Then, to help you to tell and begin to live a new life story was the Gemini full moon. Now to set the tone for the traditional year ahead and move you into deeper purpose and potential is the Capricorn new moon.

This new moon holds so much magic for so many reasons. It’s here that you will now close out one traditional year and open up another.

So, be prepared for the dark moon to really highlight what you are ready to leave in the old year and not take into or repeat in the next.

The dark moon is the lowest energetic and emotional point of the lunar cycle and brings an ending for a new beginning, helping you to reset, release and not take anything into the next lunar cycle, and in this case next year, that you don’t want or need.

It pulls you deep into your inner world and emotions and brings a reality check, showing you where you currently are in your life so that you can decide if it’s where you want to be and what needs to change over the following cycle.

This dark/new moon could not come at a more perfect time of year and so take a little time out for yourself over the dark moon days and really reflect on the year gone by, where you are in your life and what is and isn’t working. Look at where you feel stuck, unfulfilled, out of alignment and integrity and where you would love changes or shifts to happen.

Get clear on what is it that you are really ready to leave behind, say goodbye to, complete, close and end in your life. And from this what you are ready to welcome in, say hello to, begin, create, manifest and make happen in this new traditional year.

Because this new moon is setting the tone, laying the foundations and planting the seeds for this coming year and calling your forwards into new beginnings and more purpose and potential.

Imagine that you wanted to build a house but all you worried about was how the house wasn’t built yet and what a big job it was going to be to build it and that you didn’t know how you would do it and make it happen.

That house would never get built and you’d spend your whole life dreaming of that house or waiting for someone else to come along and help you to build it or even worse have to watch someone else build your dream house for themselves.

Instead imagine if you laid just one brick. That’s it, just one. It’s only one brick but now your house has gone from a dream to a reality.

That’s what this new moon wants you to do with your 2025 dreams and intentions – to show you how one brick at a time you can bring your dreams into reality.

So, visualise where you want to be by this time next year. And if that feels too much how about at the summer solstice in June. Or even the Spring Equinox in March.

In order to be where you want to be in three, six- and 12-months’ time what bricks do you need to be laying now and then daily, weekly, and monthly to help you to get there?

I know that we often want to rush things and end up at the shiny end result where we have all that we want. But in order to create anything, we need to start with the foundations. And so, over these next few months while we are still wintering before spring starts to bring everything to life what foundations can you lay?

It all begins here, at this new moon. With a plan for the future, a long-term vision and goal and then laying that very first brick and continuing to lay them and bring your dreams into reality one day at a time.
