The last Capricorn new moon had you laying stable and strong foundations for your dreams and creating a plan of action to get you there. Then along came the Cancer full moon to encourage you to come fully and completely back home to your most authentic self. Now here is the first new moon of the decade in the freedom-seeking, rebel-rousing sign of Aquarius to help you realign with your purpose, break free of chains, and, most of all, trust in your bigger purpose and life plan.
This new moon arrives just before Imbolc, the cross-quarter festival that celebrates the first emergence out of winter towards spring. As such, the run up to this moon may have you feeling like you are suspended in time, everything yet nothing, quiet, immersive and in the dark moon feels of wanting to hide away. Just as nature stands on the edge of time before she tips over into the first signs of spring, that’s what this new moon will do for you.
You may feel a sense of nervous anxiety around this moon, a sense of unease and as thought things are changing but you’re not sure what or why. As Imbolc starts to stir all of the seeds of life that have been buried deep within the soil over winter, this moon will begin to stir things within you too.
Aquarius is the rebel of the zodiac, the sign that takes us into humanitarian focused action and shows you that you have been given gifts and passions and purpose for a reason, and that the world needs YOU. You may have been telling yourself for the longest time that you don’t have anything to offer and can’t make a difference in the world and can’t follow your dream because of x, y and z, but Aquarius is here to tell you that you can, and you must. One thing that Aquarius holds dear more than anything is freedom, and so anything that stifles your freedom or ability to live your bigger picture dreams will be obvious under this moon. Aquarius energy will make you feel adventurous and free and gives you the ability to really assert yourself and go after what you want without fear.
